At the age of 7, I heard Spanish for the first time visiting family in Florida. That small encounter ignited a curiosity and passion in me to figure this language & culture out that was so different. I have been studying Spanish for over 25 years now! During college I spent a summer in Morelia Mexico where I lived with a family that spoke no English. I also did a semester in Segovia, Spain where I also lived with a family that spoke no English. During graduate school, I did a summer in Costa Rica where I lived and went to school at a local university. I have taught English to migrant workers, served as an interpreter in the mountains of Boquete Panama, and have been teaching Spanish for over 11 years now.
